Are you interested in getting your book on our shelves?

First, congratulations on your publication! We recognize the hard work and perseverance it takes to bring an idea to fruition and then to publication.  

Before you submit your work using the form below, please thoroughly read the requirements below.

We Do NOT:

Accept titles published or printed though Amazon. Amazon is a direct competitor. If you are pursuing self-publishing, we encourage you to consider Ingram Spark. 

Accept unsolicited titles in-store or through the mail. If a book is dropped off before your submission has been accepted by our store it will be considered a review copy and will become the property of Merit Badge Books. It will not be sold to the public or returned to you. 

Accept any AI-generated content, including full or partial passages or illustrations.

All Books Must:

Be written by authors who reside within 50 miles of Hamburg.

Be printed and bound with the title and author information visible on both the spine and cover.

Be professional in design and contain quality content (minimal errors).

Have a 13-digit ISBN number.

We ask that, if a title is accepted, Merit Badge Books is listed on the author’s website as a location to purchase.

Submitting Your Title(s)

After you submit your title(s) for consideration via the form below, we will contact you if we are interested in carrying copies at Merit Badge Books. This may take between 4-6 weeks while we review. If you do not hear from us please know that we appreciate your submission but will not be moving forward with carrying your title(s). 

If your book(s) has been traditionally published or self-published through Ingram Spark, we will place an initial order of 3 copies from the publisher or distributor to place on our shelves.

If you have self-published and your book(s) is not available on Ingram, we will consider stocking with the following consignment details:

To begin, MBB will carry 3 copies of each accepted title for a 4 month period of time. If the books sell out before the 4 months is up, we will pay the author via check or Venmo and converse about a restock. If any books remain after the 4 month period, we will pay for sold stock and contact the author for a pick up of the remaining. If the book(s) are still in our possession for 2 weeks after contact, they will be considered forfeit and we will donate locally.
